Difficult Situations
We always find ourselves in challenging, difficult, and sometimes funny situations while working in the golf industry. Here you'll find some scenarios that I found myself in and how I've overcame such challenges.
Exploding Bathroom
Fall 2020
One of the main pipelines bursted and resulted in our new staff bathroom flooding with a not pleasant smell that lingered in the office of the golf shop. It flooded the storage room in the back and got onto the carpet of the shop. We had to adjust by closing all the doors and making sure the smell doesn't linger into the golf shop.
Hurricane Relief
Summer 2020
On the first week of August, the Northeast suffered an incredible hurricane. This hurricane damaged a lot of trees at The Ridgewood Country. I knew because of COVID-19 that the G&G staff was short so gathering the other interns to help G&G clean up the golf course was an amazing feat.
